Free Form

Gone are the days when every nail has to look the exact same way. Express your individuality via our newest nails in organic shapes that look different on each fingertip. Meet Natural Wonder, a manicure dreamt up by Mabelyn Martin, Paintbox Associate Creative Director. "I was so inspired by the French painter Fabienne Verdier, who creates huge brushstroke works of art with high-contrast color combinations," says Mabelyn. "Random, shiny strokes made with foil will give your hands a jewelry look," adds Mabelyn, who recommends color ways of navy/gold, dark gray/silver, or dusty lilac/metallic peach. Another new design that feels organic: Power Surge, a metallic wave with edgy negative space. Mabelyn, who was influenced by a ruffled skirt with a metallic accent she saw at the Met, suggests this design in lavender/copper, cornflower/rose gold, or khaki green/gold.

Charming Additions

Never before has there been more options for cool, modern studs. Our artists searched the globe to bring you our newest treasures. Our Perfect Pair design showcases two studs–a textured metallic circle and then a dainty, colorful crystal. "I was inspired by the Christian LaCroix sweatshirt the stylist Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele used on a model for a Vogue cover back in 1988," Mabelyn says. Ask our incredible artists for crystal recommendations–we have various colors (aqua, orange, magenta, lavender) to complement every mani. And try our Outer Limits manicure, designed by Julie Kandalec, Paintbox Brand Ambassador. Each fingertip has a dusting of reflective, opalescent sequins on the side of the nail for a flash of iridescence.

Graphic Maximalism

Graphic designs go all out this season, making them highly accessible for day-to-night wear. Geometric shapes are made sultry when they're in holographic glitters like our Babe manicure or in sophisticated tonal combinations as in our New Movement design, both created by Nichole Osorio, Paintbox Lead Artist. "The swoop of angular glitter at your fingertips in Babe will instantly make your nails look longer and sexier with the negative space," Nichole says. And for our New Movement design, Nichole recommends chic color ways like black/white, nude/white, and gray/white.
