Feeling Fallish
We hate to see summer go. Don't get us wrong—we love fall. But there's something difficult about saying goodbye to summer sun, warm evenings, and Saturdays at the beach.
Wardrobe-wise, the weeks when nature hasn't yet made up her mind as to which season it is can be confusing. We've all made the mistake of slipping into a sweater on a misleadingly cool September morning, only to be overheating by midday. The same dilemma applies to beauty routines. Come September, we're eager to try vampy shades of lipstick and nail polish yet warm days and lingering September sun can make these choices feel a touch premature.
With that in mind, we've put together our favorite summer-to-fall transitional looks (like Stone's Throw, seen above). These looks are equally at home on the beach or in an upstate orchard and play nice with both summer clothes and early fall layers.
Middlesex, seen here in a deep orange and navy, works as well in summer as it does the early weeks of fall.
Mercury Rising—or falling. A look we love for when you're not quite sure what the thermometer will read on a given day.
Moonbeam—show some summer skin while elongating your nails with fall-appropriate rose gold moons and tips.
