"Time together over nails has been a sweet treat for my friendships to celebrate a new life benchmark, to cope through things like heartbreak, or to simply catch up on the everyday. With a daily pace that seems like it's constantly on the move as a mother and entrepreneur, looking and seeing my nails painted is a centering moment for me." -Angela P.

"Not only do I enjoy the process of getting my nails done, it helps add an extra oomph when I go to meetings. I pride myself on a strong, assertive handshake–why shouldn't my nails speak just as loudly for that important first impression?"-Bekka G.

"My grandmother always used to have her nails painted in an amazing irridescent rose color. When I was little, I couldn't stop staring at them. When I was then, she gave me my first rose manicure. I've been a nail girl ever since, and a manicure helps me feel composed." -Alex P.

"Nail polish rounds out my appearance. I gravitate towards darker colors, like mocha, oxblood, or almost black. There are a lot of eyes on my when I draw live at events and having my nails painted makes me feel much more focused and confident." -Blair B.

"Beauty is an extension and transformation to my chameleon self. I choose my nail designs to be in harmony with current projects I'm working on. When conceptualizing a shoot, I'll pull nail references to work with the medium of art and fashion." -Pari D.

"As a woman, having your nails done helps you feel composed and put together even if everything else in your life is kind of a mess. I forgot to dry clean this dress, but have to wear it anyway? At least my nails look good!" -Sophie M.

"My mom has always placed importance on manis. When I was a little girl, I'd go with her to the salon. I was fascinated by how glam the entire process was. I'd tell her to get a fun color, like bright red or fuschia, but she always went with something understated like sheer pink. That's when I realized how personal nails are. I remember thinking: when I grow up I want to be the kind of woman who always has her nails done." -Julia M.

"Manicures make me feel good and look put together every day, while requiring minimal effort-I find it quite relaxing to regularly set aside time every two to three weeks to get my nails done. A manicure is more important to me than what I wear or what my hair looks like. I used to only wear red nails until I discovered Paintbox. That's when I started experimenting with my nails more." -Babba C.
