How did you pick your manicure colors and the overall design?
I was looking for a soft neutral/strong sparkle situation and this certainly fit the bill!
In one word, how does your manicure make you feel?
Accessorized.
Any nostalgic nail memories?
There was the very early attempt at a DIY manicure using permanent markers that could have gone better.
What prompted you to create Paravel?
Paravel is about reimagining travel to marry beautiful design, resilient performance, and a wholehearted dedication to sustainability. The ability to provide people with better choices - both from a design and environmental standpoint- is what gets me up every morning.
Tell us more about Paravel's commitment to sustainability.
We are on track to be the first 100% sustainable travel brand in 2021 and have already upcycled over 1.6 million post-consumer plastic water bottles through our product offerings.
Four things you’re into right now?
Voter registration, our Paravel Café Totes handmade in Italy from upcycled coffee bags, planning future travel, and talking to companies that are turning food waste into plastic alternatives.
What are your favorite spots in NYC?
Cooper Hewitt, Blue Hill Stone Barns (worth the food pilgrimage outside the city), Albertine Books, CW Pencil Enterprise (if you’ve ever had a pencil obsession- this is a MUST VISIT), Strand.
How do you press reset and relax?
I love walking in new places. It can be an unfamiliar neighborhood or city (in different times), or something as simple as taking a different route to a familiar place. It makes me look up and get my head out of my to-do list.
