Paintbox + Sight Unseen
In honor of New York Design Week 2017, we're thrilled to partner with Sight Unseen to create a modern, high-impact manicure, inspired by one of our favorite artists. Check out the rest of our story here and pop into the studio from now until June 1st to get our Next Dimension design.

For this year's New York Design Week, we've teamed up with Sight Unseen, an online magazine focused on what is fresh and cool in visual arts and independent designers. As longtime fans of their curated content, we were psyched to design a unique nail alongside other participants, such as Coming Soon, Rachel Comey, The Primary Essentials, Picture Room, Canal Street Market, Dimes, Lalito, Kasthall, Mission Chinese, Creatures of Comfort, and Anthom

For our collaboration, we co-designed Next Dimension, an ultra-graphic negative space nail. Next Dimension was inspired by the California Light and Space art movement, as well as LA artist Vasa Mihich, whose signature acrylic sculptures in limitless colors combinations have been a longtime reference palette for us while designing nails. His kaleidoscope of colors allow light to pour in, which we playfully alluded to using negative space framed by color.
